The forms that I have seen for George Alston clinics say not to bring an untrained dog and no dogs under 1 yr, no exceptions. Does he actually give clinics for the babies?
By the way, your puppy looks gorgeous. Paula
I should have explained/clarified this in my post yesterday, but I had some sort of stomach flu thing, was under the weather and I did not go in to this. You are correct that Diarado is too young to participate in the clinic. George is adamant about not show-training any dog that is teething. Also, he is adamant the no dog is disruptive, regardless of whether or not it is entered in the clinic. Owners are responsible that their dogs NOT be disruptive, and George makes no bones (pun intended :) :D ) about calling people on this during the clinic.
Diarado did not participate in the clinic. You can see that the photos were taken in the hallway beyond where the clinic was taking place. He was allowed to be on the grounds because I am a member of the club that hosted the clinic. As member I get the privilege of getting up at 6:00 am, to pick up refreshments and get to the facility by 7:30 a.m.. where I get to work all day. Over the two day period I get to help set up the rings and matts before the clinic starts, and I get to spend a few hours after its over helping fellow club members tear it all down and clean the facility. For those “privileges” I am allowed the privilege of having my dog on the premises, merely for exposure, though he is not allowed in the clinic itself and had he been in any way shape or form disruptive he would have been politely asked to leave. Diarado was a little gentleman and was allowed to stay, as was Birdie - the Forsyth's Whippet, Max - a Scottie and a Norwich (who's name I forget) owned by the Watson's. :)

Thank you, Elaine. I thought I had missed something. I'm sure the baby had a good time. A lot of work for mom, but I'm sure he loved all the kisses and attention! Paula

About that look, it’d almost be intimidating, except for that blue ball. She is almost never without it. :D

Arthur and I took these photos of the kids today… nothing special… we’re sort of in between winter and spring (and the property shows it). The kids will be four months old in a week, they are teething, their mouths are sore, their feet are flat… overall they are really going through stages… tall and leggy this week, short and long the next. Seems that I worry and fuss about every detail… I may be being a bit too hard on them. I can’t recall a litter that has been a greater joy…

Seems we have had the range of early spring weather today. It was warm and sunny this morning, then cloudy, then sunny again, then rain. Forgot to mention, but Arthur found a full set on both Gummie and DiMaggio. :D I’m taking all three up to see Joel tomorrow, for shots and a good once over, “pop the hood, check the oil and tire pressure… get some baseline data” type of thing. We’ll see if Joel finds them too. :)

Tala went through the same stuff. Up, down..up...finally down and stayed
down.
Clearly his are fine, he goes in the ring on Friday again. So....little Gummy's will do their dance and settle in just fine I am sure. :)

They do go through stages… especially with their personalities. Last week I’d have told you that Little Gummie was an absolute gentleman: housebroken, respectful, obedient… gave kisses, played well with others, just a sweet loving boy… an angel on four paws. This week he’s a terror… “no" seems to be is first response to things, or a bit more like, “Nah, I don’t think so, I’ve got a better plan over here.” We may not show him at the Match... he's teething, his mouth is sore.. and he is a little Gummie "No" Monster. :D
At the moment DiMaggio is my rock. Hotline is all go, all energy… “faster than a speeding bullet, and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.” :)
Well, as you all know, I have the perfect puppy :D I love my Capricia beyond words - sometimes she does have a potty accident in the house but it's always our fault for not opening the door quickly enough. Sometimes she chews on inappropriate items (like my glasses) but that's our fault for not keeping them off the table where she can be tempted! If only we could get ourselves better trained!!!
Prissy went to a party on Saturday night with me, the hostess has two 10 month old Dobermans (both altered) and a thirteen week old JRT - all on a 30 acre horse farm with 3 full acres fenced. To say that those four puppies had a blast would be an understatement - by the time I left (around 10:00), Capricia and Rocko were so exhausted they weren't running any more but were lying stretched out on the kitchen floor, chewing on each other's faces and lips. They had so much fun :p
She's a great puppy - it doesn't matter where we take her (we even dragged along to a feral cat TNR program on Sunday), she is relaxed, confident and at home. I love her in-charge attitude!!!

Whew… thank god the list ended where it did. For a moment there I had visions of, “ sometimes she knocks over ATMs, but it's always our fault for not giving her enough spending money.” :D
Seriously, I really thought we were over the hump here with housebreaking... and then Diarado had a slip or three.:o:(

Well, there was that little incident at the Pet Smart toy department but I promised her I'd bring her fresh chewies every day so I think maybe that might not happen again ... as much maybe ..... :D
Honestly though it's hard not to indulge her. She has such dark limpid eyes and she sure can work it. We're going to school in April so we might have to let her know she's a dog then but for now, she's the Princess :p

Here are some photos of Diarado and Hotline from this morning. I had just taken Diarado's ears down, he decided to take off with his sister, so I let them play for a while. "Play is the work of childhood." :)

They are lovely. Looks like they are having a good ole time.
Ms Prissy/Capricia visited yesterday at a DAR&E fundraiser at my BK and was enjoying the kids on the playground.
She is darling and I cant believe how quickly she is growing. She is stunning and was sporting her bling/bling collar as well.
She def knows she's all that :)
All these pups are gorgeous.

Thanks, we're pleased with them.:) Not sure if Capricia is going through this, but Hotline is very strong willed. When she sets her mind to "no” ... she means it. She will simply sit down and shut off. The boys are always sweet, even when they’re pissed about something I can ask for “kisses” and they will oblige. Not Hotline, if she is pissed with me she turns away and it’s “no kisses for you bub.” :(
I would love to be able to get them all together again at some point in the future for a family reunion.

Capricia is definitely going through a "willful stage" right now. Unlike Hotline though, she doesn't shut off. She kind of turns it on and will expend a lot of energy to GET HER WAY, whatever it may be at that moment. She has never withheld her kisses though especially if she thinks that application of kisses might get her what she wants.
She is one smart cookie and I think she will exemplify the bumper sticker: "Your honor student child is but a pawn in my Doberman's plot for world domination." Yeah, that's Prissy :)

I love the shot of D' and Hotline walking side by side.
I believe the cartoon bubble reads something like this....." Come on Hotline!! Really, she won't care if we dig her flower boxes up! I hear Uncle Titan did it and it was great fun!"
Hotline " Oh shut up D' ! You are such a boy! Yuck!!"

Just a little blur flying by! She starts school next Thursday night and by golly, we are going to make a lady of her and THEN she'll pose for photos all pretty like Elaine's babies, by golly!
