Hi folks,

Just couldn't help sharing this with you. My new Whippet Puppy is now all of 3 months. Pic taken around 1.5 months of age.

Needless to say I am thrilled!!!

What a sweetheart! How exciting. :)

I haven’t a clue about Whippets, but I think they are beautiful, so athletic and yet little living works of art. In the mid 1990’s I had the opportunity to visit Debbie Butts, Sporting Field’s kennel, see Luke and several of Debbie’s litters. And I think the Forsyth’s Whippet - Birdie is stunning. I love the soft expressions, almost like an Arabian horse.

Tell us, what’s the pedigree, where did she [it is a bitch right?] come from? :)

Thanks Elaine. They are absolute dolls. Ever since my Pixie left us (posted on DSNN) I have been craving for one and here HE is!!!

Sire is NZ & IND CH Parnew Foreign Image at Shenace s/o Aust. Eng. Ir. Int/Multi Ch. Collooney Silver Jigolo (UK) x a daughter of Aust Ch Calahorra Embossed.

Whippets are athletic, move like greased lightning, loving, happy to curl up on the sofa, but start getting the leash and they burst into lithsome balls of energy. Basically, I have found them to be extremely clean dogs and ideal for small houses or apartments too.

Whippets has short bursts of energy and while Carl Lewis broke the 10 sec barrier for the 100 meters, a Whippet is said to be able to accomplish 200 meters in 12 secs. Now, that's greased lightning ... or is it?

Elaine

Very nice! Good luck! :D

Reminds me of some dogs I've seen out this way sired by an Australian dog that Iva Kimmelman had imported, Byerley Savile Row. Gorgeous dog who produced very well in the US for Iva before he went back to Aust.
