Impressions from the Bucks Trenton Weekend

Here are some of the photos we took... of the gang... just special moments in and out of the ring.. in no particular order. I am running doing errands today... I will post the photos as I have time, and then go back and fill in the names where I need to check the catalog. Please be patient... and I apologize in advance that there are so many of our dogs, but heck, they seemed to catch our attention... imagine that:D

Photo #1 Tina Nett, Bob Salvino, his wife Cheryl Burgess, moi... and Claire.

Photo #2 E2, Bob, Cheryl ... etc.

photo #3 Christine Hertling and Christine Spiniello

photo #4 Gwen with Raisin's daughter Blue Chip Desert Reign (by Ch. Anozira's Catcus Jack, CDX, NAJ, RE - out of Ch. Blue Chip Purple Reign CDX, NA, NAJ) bred by Christine Spiniello, owned by Christine and Karen Wrey.

photo #5 Judge Nancy Bosley, Kelly (with Gabriel ;) ) showing the Best In Futurity puppy - Blue Chip Reign of Fame (Ch. Anozira's Catcus Jack, CDX, NAJ, RE - out of Ch. Blue Chip Purple Reign CDX, NA, NAJ) bred and owned by Christine Spiniello, and Gwen showing the littermate sister Blue Chip Desert Reign

At one point during the day the tent laying on the ground in the background of photos #1 and #2 caught a gust of wind and started to rise up off of the ground... came up about 20 feet, all on its own. I don't think a single dog in the ring or ringside even batted an eye.

Candid photos of Contender in the ring with Kelly in Open AOAC... the judge clearly liked this class (Winners Dog came from it). We were all on the edge of our seats... judging seemed to go on forever... 7 dogs... seemed like it took her well over half an hour to makea decision, she moved several of the dogs 4-5 times... at one point toward the very end Contender was pulled out in front... I think all of our hearts stopped, but then she gave the class to Gwen, with the DiNardo's lovely Hunter son. Contender went second. Rat's, but it was a thrill none-the-less. Contender finished the next day at Bucks, with a 4 pt major and BW under Marilyn Biggs.

First off I want to congratulate the winners. Great looking dobes, winners all of them.

How refreshing to see the competition from other shows and in other areas. How nice to just see owners taking pictures of the lineup and not just professional shots. I personally love seeing this type of posting and to see some of the dobes you don't get to see that often.

Here we are Tina, E2 and me (E1) ring side at Trenton... what can I say... we're silly? Not sure why we're kissing E2... maybe this was when I asked her if she wanted to help me "back Lord Baltimore" and she said, "Sure, I'll write you a check for a million five." (In horses, when we say "back" one meaning is "to train them to accept a rider on their back"... which is what I meant, but hey, I'll take the million five any day. :D And a tip for those of you who have the pleasure of sitting with E2 ring side... please take time to explain in precise DETAIL each and every impression you have of each and every dog in the ring... she loves hearing this stuff. :p

Trento results are up on RauDog Shows. http://www.raudogshows.com/results/egen/default.aspx

Winners dog on Sunday was the American Bred DOG KERWYND'S DREAM WALKER by Ch. Kerwynd's Easy Money out of Kerwynd's American Dream Owned and Bred by Susan A. Kershaw. Don't know his call name, Quincy went second to him in the AM-Bred class, so I saw a bit of him. Don't recall how he did on Friday, but he won the class on Saturday. I thought he was a lovely lovely balanced black dog. Maybe Tina or E2 have a few photos of him.

Elaine,
If you go to the "DOG SHOW BRAGS" section of this site, under the thread, NEW CHAMPION- CH LOGRES CONTENDER, at the bottom of the second post is a photo that I sent to Arthur. In that photo, Carissa is handling Kerwynd's Dream Walker. I may have more photos of him but alas, real life has set in and I have work to do.... looking at pictures does not count in Jeff's book!!

Tina :):):D
