It's time to nominate judges for the DPCA National! I have not heard any discussion except that some folks on an unnamed list want to nominate Ms. McNealy for futurity. She has declined.

Any thoughts?

Why not nominate the Gov of Illinoius ...he'll have some free time soon. That is if he gets time off for good behavoir.

Actually, it'd be nice to nominate someone who actually owns and breeds Dobermans… someone who understands structure and movement… someone who’s opinion we’d actually value. I think that is one of the biggest reasons the 2008 National was such a flop was the judging panel. With one or two exceptions, the judging panel stunk and we all knew it. Entries were down because we’re simply not going to pay a ton of money for the opinions of people who haven’t a clue what they’re looking at. Showing dogs is one hundred percent discretionary. In these economic times, people are not going to waste a single nickel on a judging panel like they had in 2008.

We should generate a list of people who know dogs AND are not playing games in the ring.

Eve Auch is well qualiified to judge the Futurity. I believe she's bred at least 30 ROM dogs. Might be a great idea.
